SIX FEET UNDER

SEASON FOUR

EPISODE 10: THE BLACK FOREST

An all too obviously disgusted wife kicks the shit out of her husband, who lays in a puddle of puke, dead from alcohol abuse.

Nate has been invited to the dedication of Lisa's cremains in Coeur d'Alene, ID. He really doesn't want to go, but...

Ruth is preparing to head back to home and to George. I want to tell her, living with George can't be more traumatic than what she experienced in Mexico.

The wife of the deceased alkie is horrific. She seems like the kind of control freak that would get along really well with Ruth.

David's old friend Terry (from S3) is getting hitched, and Keith balks at having to buy an expensive vaz for the happy couple.

When Ruth returns home, George apologizes, but Ruth is determined to meet his kids and probably to know every single thing about his past. I don't blame her atall about wanting George to take her places and be more of a companion, but this pushy stuff about his family...it's a wonder he didn't leave.

Brenda's a little reluctant to join Nate on his trip to Idaho, but she goes, and ends up dealing with a manipulative patient. Well Brenda, you wanted to go into mental health...you asked for it! Byron reminds me of Billy of Season 1. Very manipulative, eager to see how many people put their lives on hold for him.

Post-orgasmic Claire cuts up the dance floor at Jimmy's place to my favorite NERD tune. She approaches Edie, hoping to reconcile their estrangedness, but Edie was more hurt than she let on about Claire not wanting her for a girlfriend, so she brushes Claire off and we never see her again. Later, Claire and Russell invent a new kind of art.

Nate feels very uncomfortable around Lisa's family. Her mom, especially, seems out of it.

Rico bristles at the idea of his wife seeing other guys. And at the idea of her having straight hair. Vanessa is so cool...she refuses to "lay down and die".

David and Keith start entertaining the idea of adopting children.

George's son Kyle and Ruth's friend Becky seem to hit it off okay. I found it kind of amusing that the men wanted to talk about doomsday topics, while the women talked about the flavor of decaf coffee.

After Lisa's service, Nate and Brenda run into Barb and Hoyt. Small town indeed. Barb is not successful in her attempt to hide the fact that she is just as big a bitch as her late sister was. I have to commend Brenda. She handled the situation with class.

Even though she's sort of seeing Jimmy, Claire can't help but ask Billy, out for ceviche. Being that Billy is sweeter and prettier than she remembered (I loved her comment on his long legs), it looks like Claire is developing a new crush.

David gets into a fight with a rude SOB at a restaurant. Oh David, couldn't you just keep it shut? Let the waiter be the one to tell the guy off!

A pastor? in Coeur d'Alene tells the Kimmells that he doesn't believe the ashes they dedicated are Lisa's. He's another one! Can't these people keep their damn mouths shut???!!!

This episode was pretty okay. I'll give it a B+.
