BROKEN

Fan Review by FishPirate, imdb.com

After I watched "Broken" I couldn't get the movie out of my head for a few days. I've never seen a better metaphor for the Broken pieces of todays drug induced consumer based society.

Don't let the great cinematography of "Broken" distract you on whats really going on. "Broken" tends to slip in and out of reality throughout the movie which will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end. One of my personal favorite Scenes of this film is when Hope(Heather Gram) first plays guitar for Will(Jeremy Sisto.) In this scene the Directer(Allen White)made it obvious that Hope is talented but still needs help to become a great musician. This made it pretty clear that a music career would not be just handed to her but she would have to work for it. I also really enjoyed the sound track that was put together by the band "Brian Jonestown Massacre." This music not only sounds great but was molded well with the film as the sound track was written by a self destructive heron addict "Anton Newcombe." This made the film flow from beginning to end, whereas most film sound tracks are a blend of all the latest most popular crappy pop songs. Another cool part about the sound track is that the Song that Hope sings to Will "hanging tree" is a "Anton Newcombe" song.

The rest of the cast was also an influence to the greatness of this film. Everyone in the cafe played a substantial roll to making this film.
