BROKEN

"Every minute of every day, you are either getting closer to God, or you're getting farther away...I don't know what I'm getting closer to..."

" A beautifully emotive story with bite of a realistic walk in the shoes of hard choices. But there's always Hope!" AFI Fest 2006

"In the end, "Broken" is a gritty, honest portrayal of one's loss of self dignity. The story is compelling, the direction is mesmerizing, the cinematography is visually stunning and the acting is superb." Chad Langden, The Entertainment Bible

"...dark and confronting...brazenly intense..." Campaign Brief

"...a powerful and engrossing drama." VideoViews.org

"...well acted. Mr. Sisto, in particular, gets inside the skin of his miserable character...a tour de force of nastiness and snarling self-pity..." Stephen Holden, The New York Times

"Graham’s and Sisto’s performances are riveting...Wonderfully scripted by Drew Pillsbury and directed by Alan White, “Broken” is sure to be a resounding winner and a make a lasting impression in its 97 minutes of sheer emotion, from love to frenzy. You’ll experience every minute of it without one moment to breathe. What a rush." Tobe A. Roberts IV, Cinema Without Borders

"[BROKEN is] a fine film about one of the most common forms of addiction--a functional addiction that allows you to lead a semblance of a life, albeit one of not-so-quiet desperation." Jeffrey Jolson-Colburn, Hollywood Today

"Jeremy Sisto chews the scenery with unprecedented gusto." Jessica Reaves, Chicago Tribune

"...ambitious and surprising...Broken resembles a medieval morality play brought forward to the 21st century, and tells the story of choices that can break a person on the life path..." Monsters & Critics

"BROKEN [is] a perplexing mystery that wraps you in its madness, absorbs you in its performances and stuns you with its tightly drawn artistry. How unfortunate that dignified little films like these never get the attention they deserve and often fall through the cracks of the more high profile films of the season...packs a lifetime's worth of emotion into 97 minutes..." Scott Hoffman, MoviePictureFilm.com

"...a moody and surreal drama...engrossing and well-shot...Graham, doe-eyed and beautiful as ever, shows new reserves of strength and depth...Sisto is both chilling and achingly sad..." Gary Goldstein, Reel.com

"If you are a casting director looking for a psychotic boy friend one name has to come up, Jeremy Sisto...He can switch from the smooth talking charmer to a brutal almost animalistic monster bent on self gratification. In order to play such an over the top character an actor has to have exemplary control of his performance. Sisto has this as few actors do." Doug, Home Theatre Info

"[BROKEN] will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end..." Fish Pirate, IMDb

WINNER: Best Film of Show, 2006 Accolade Competition

"While Broken clearly is a dark film, Hope (Heather Graham) is the name of the main character. She finds solace in the arms of a handsome bad boy (Jeremy Sisto), and sinks toward the bottom in the fast realization that her singing career is going nowhere. They become lost in his drug life and in each other. After navigating through her own version of the seven deadly sins she begins to pull her life back together.

Broken was selected for its world première at the 2006 AFI film festival. It was well received by a sold-out audience with positive reviews. The film is cinematic and a joy to see on the big screen. Producer Jerry Wayne of Walk On The Beach Productions said, “The AFI screening created a lot of buzz and many said it is Heather Graham’s and Jeremy Sisto’s finest work. Audience members were clearly into the film and moved by the drama. The night of the screening was the culmination of four years of hard work, and I’m very proud of the film.”

The Accolade judges clearly like the film and awarded it the highest honor of Best of Show. The judges commented that they were quickly drawn into the storyline and the well developed characters. It has an authentic feeling and vividly illustrates the pathos of lives spinning out of control. The dark heart of her boyfriend threatens to devour Hope’s soul. Hope’s struggle to regain her soul makes for powerful drama and an excellent movie."

"[Jeremy Sisto, in] the supporting role of Will is FANTASTIC! He carried the movie." Jenna Myers, Metromix

"A dense psychological drama that packs a walloping punch...moody and engaging..." Rudy Palma, The Writing Fiend

"...a gritty, bravely acted indie about a couple’s addiction to bad drugs and bad love...intriguing..." Danny Peary, The Brink

"JEREMY SISTO is superb at playing tortured souls constantly on the verge of snapping. Will can be charming (he's even polite when robbing a man at gunpoint), but there's always a hint of menace. And beneath that menace is a fragility that can make you sympathize with the character just moments after he does something awful. HEATHER GRAHAM'S performance is natural and restrained..." Warren Curry, Entertainment Insiders

"...bleak and realistic..." Lane Kneedler, AFI Fest

"Jeremy Sisto, who always delivers, gives a wonderful performance." Brad Petersen, SmartCine

"[Jeremy Sisto] as Will is charismatic and intoxicating..." Jacqueline Jung, NightsAndWeekends.com

"Possibly one of Graham's riskiest, most demanding roles to date...she gives an astounding performance..." Frank Lewallen, VisionFest

"'Broken' is exceptional not only for its challenging narrative structure and emotional depth, but also for Heather Graham's incredible performance." Kelly Sanders, Truly Indie
