DEAD DOG

Review by Echatonvik

I just finished watching “Dead Dog” which arrived last week from my zip.ca list. “Dead Dog” stars Jeremy Sisto who does a good job of playing a grieving former dog owner. The film is all about the accidental death of Tom Braeburn’s dog, Sophie. Tom is shattered and sets out to find out as much as he can about Sophie’s death. The plot line is really very simple but it’s the slant at which we’re shown the outcome of Sophie’s death that makes this film as good as I thought it was. I have to say that I often felt throughout the film that I was watching something by David Lynch. It had that surreal feel to it…when reality doesn’t quite leave those dark corners hidden on the outside of life. This is one film I would recommend…and after last night’s theatre flop, I feel much much better.
