A honest indie movie
"In memory of my father" is a dark comedy about Death, parenthood and dysfunctional relationships between a group of unforgettable, ironic, sometimes hateful and pathetic characters.
I liked the honest and fresh cast but I particularly enjoyed with awesome and credible Christopher Jaymes, who plays a poor guy who thinks he hates his late dad but he finally doesn't. The death of the father convulse the lives of his immature, sometimes hateful and selfish but human sons.
There are good moments of black humour, incredible and funny situations and a spontaneity that I think makes the story credible. It has an European touch in my opinion. Dogma movies came to my mind during its vision.
It could a good choice if you like indie movies. Not a masterpiece but it's an enjoyable and interesting story about Family.
