KIDNAPPED

Kidnapped is smart entertainment. It does not handle anything with sentiment. It's for real. Brutal, full of twists and shockers, with a first rate cast and unforgettable characters, especially Mr. Knapp and Mr. Cain.
It should have been on TNT or HBO. NBC continues to suck (their shabby treatment of Law & Order should clue anyone in). they have no clue what discriminating people want in their nightly TV lineup. Natch, there are some who will differ with me, in particular those who enjoy the leno show and the Biggest Loser, but to each his own.
You see the story from all views and all ethical codes. The most amoral and heartless of villains gets his 2 cents in. The heroes are not Polly Purehearts, abiding by the laws of the land, much to the pain of the FBI. The heroes will lie, cheat, steal and kill to save leopold and bring him home alive.
I think NBC really dropped it when they yanked the show from the air after only several episodes. The best episodes and story arcs occur midway through the series.It's like a tightly wound coil that threatens to give way any second. My favorite good guy is either Cain or Knapp (can't decide because they're both kickass) and my favorite baddie is definitely Bellows, what a mean SOB! Burke is great!
