As a crime drama, Law & Order is not as good as shows like Kidnapped, Cold Case or Dark Blue. The characters are not really exciting and the stories are treated with that boring procedural quality rather than intimacy to engage the watcher. Never liked many of the procedurals that are all business, no characters, always liked characters and stories that affect me personally, and today's headlines are more than just an investigation and a trial. I never could get deep into L&O. I appreciate that the cast, including Jeremy Sisto, does their best to get us sucked in, but I've felt the show was boring from the very first year and there are just a lot more shows out there that I'd rather be watching.
