Dream acquires sex comedy ManFast

By Jeremy Kay, May 6, 2004

Dream Entertainment has acquired all international rights to Kali Films' comedy ManFast, which recently won the audience award and directorial debut honours for Tara Judelle at the New York International Independent Film and Video Festival.

The story follows four hedonistic women who must give up men for 100 days in order to receive a cash injection to their magazine, which goes under the charming name of Biotch.

Jeremy Sisto stars along with Bruce Davison, Lala Sloatman, Klea Scott, Annabelle Gurwitch and Erin Gray and newcomer Jenny Judelle.

Tara Judelle wrote and directed the picture and produced with Vesco Razpopov, whose credits include the 1999 road movie Me And Will.

"ManFast is original and provocative - a sex farce in the grand European tradition with a big doses of American exuberance and wit thrown in,' Dream chairman and chief executive officer Ehud Bleiberg said in a statement.

The Los Angeles-based company has developed, funded and produced 13 features since its inception in 1994 and is currently in production on the stop-motion animated picture Disaster.
