MAY più che un film horror è un trattato sull'emarginazione, la solitudine, e sulla disperazione che ne consegue. è una pellicola totalmente incentrata sulla protagonista, May Kennedy, la su vulnerabilità, la sua fragile innocenza massacrata da una vita di ordinarie umiliazioni, in cui lei, lievemente ritardata, non ha altre armi se non il subire immobile.

Angela Bettis (la miglior attrice vivente?) offre una performance PAZZESCA. ogni suo gesto è un ponte che ci porta all'interno dell'anima di may, e alcune sue reazioni sono così tragicamente naturali che verrebbe voglia di piangere.
Finale magnifico, da gustarsi con pacchetto di Kleenex a portata di mano.

More than a horror film, MAY is a study of boundaries, isolation, and the desperation some people live in. It is a film totally centralized on the protagonist, May Kennedy, her vulnerability, her fragile innocence massacred, her mundane life permanently altered. She does not have many friends making a home in her heart.
Angela Bettis (an above average living actress) offers a CRAZY performance. Every gesture she makes is a bridge into her spirit, and her reactions are thus tragically natural. Her dreams end in tears. The viewer will use an entire box of Kleenex.
