METHOD

Fan Review by Monica, Oct. 13, 2008

I rented “Method” in 2004 because I usually like thrillers. Curiously, I did not want to do it because Elizabeth Hurley starred it but I finally did. It´s a really nice movie. It is not perfect but it´s pretty interesting and it has good black humour points. Despite there is not a perfect chemistry between Hurley and Sisto, the story works well.

An actress decides to work in a movie about a black widow who lived in Indiana several decades ago. She wants to do a great performance because her career is not going really well, but she becomes quite obsessed with Belle Gunness, the serial killer. When she can not know what is reality and what is fiction, the consecuences are going to change dramatically her life. Jeremy Sisto did a nice performance playing the old lover of Hurley. I really enjoy him when he plays the lovely but simple Ray, who helped Gunnes in her macabre crimes. I also like Carmen Du Sauto and John Barrowman. If you like passion, suspense, crime and witty dialogues that movie can be a really nice option. The story has an ambiguous ending but it´s pretty enjoyable.

Elizabeth Hurley was the producer of this movie. She previously starred an interesting movie called “The weight of the water”. It´s a story based on a real story. It has some similarities with “The Method”.

Despite I had seen more Jeremy Sisto movies, I became a fan of Sisto after seeing it. I recommend it.

6/10
