METHOD
Fan review by Jolene
I just watched Method (Jeremy Sisto, Elizabeth Hurley) last night, and it was better than I expected. Although Jeremy still plays second fiddle to the lead female character, I think this is one of the
first times he's played a leading man-type of role. And he's stunning to watch, as usual. In fact, he and Elizabeth Hurley both do a great job. The movie within a movie scenario demands twice the emotion
and acting from both, and they deliver beautifully. Even the smaller supporting roles - Jake's wife, the gay reporter, Rebecca's mother - are all enjoyable.
The sex scene between Jeremy's character, Jake, and Elizabeth's character, Rebecca, is fairly short, but electric. (Both remain 99% clothed, however: dresses are lifted and pants are dropped.)
I think what I liked best about the movie is that there was more substance to it than I was expecting. There's a neat little supernatural twist that leaves the viewer wondering whether Rebecca is going insane, being drugged, or really channeling the spirit of Belle Gunness, the murderess she's portraying.
