THE MOVIE HERO
Fan Review by Patsy
Right now this is my favorite movie of Sisto's. I saw it on a Showtime channel a few days ago and it still resonates with me. It's such a cute movie, so different from any movie Sisto has done thus far. He plays a movie fanatic. "Someone is taking their love of movies too far!" Lol! But there is no menace in this movie, especially not from Sisto. He plays the "hero", and the closest this film comes to menacing is from Peter Stormare, an actor I adore from the Coen Brothers movie "Fargo"! He is fantastic in this film as the would-be bad guy to Jeremy's good guy.
But Sisto manages to steal this movie from even Stormare. He is perfect as Blake the hero, an unemployed, single and lonely (kind of) guy whose pranks get him into serious trouble with the law. He ends up having to meet with a beautiful (downright gorgeous) psychologist named Dr. Orlando. But to us, she is simply "the love interest". As she tries to figure out what makes the eccentric but somehow irresistable Blake tick, he and his new sidekick Antoine take us on a merry ride chasing the bad guy Stormare. There is not one dark moment in this movie. It's very different from anything else Sisto has made. It is very funny and lighthearted, the opposite of "Six Feet Under" and "Broken". Any Sisto fan will enjoy it!
