In this episode, PJ (Jordana Spiro) is reunited with an old boyfriend from college, Thorn (Jeremy Sisto), who is now a war journalist that travels extensively.
The other plots in this episode, if I remember right, are Mike going to work in Kenny's store and the whole thing going bad, Brendan avoiding his girlfriend's phone calls, and Andy crashing at one of the guys' very "Japanese" pad because he wanted to stay with the "boys" all night instead of going home.
Sisto was great. I don't know why Thorn would not immediately tell PJ he was engaged. It seems he's very fond of PJ and perhaps wanted to get some real closure. I did think it was kind of sad to lead her on, but I really don't think he had intentions that were malicious.
Frankly, I thought Thorn's career, which he has apparently given up at that same time, was very interesting. A journalist who travels to Pakistan, dodges shrapnel, and has survived both being shot and being in a hellicopter crash. It would make for a really good series!!!
