Yet another character brought to life off the written page by Mr Sisto! Nothing resembling any other character he's played. Not neurotic like Billy, not a bad a** like Knapp, not a jerk like Earl or a saviour like, well, Jesus.
Alvin (don't call him Al!) Bickle is a AUSA who's comfort zone is his office or a court room - NOT being hunted down by a bunch of mob enforcers. He's smart but not particularly tough.
Sisto is a great charactor actor. He takes what is written in the script and adds his unique interpretation. I think that's why he's in demand - because he gives everything he's got - without showboating and you can count on him bringing something new to every role he takes on. Little things, like attempting that homeboy fist thing with David, who was clearly perplexed - was SO funny! And when they were running through the orange groves and he hits the metal tower thing with the gun in his hand! This guy was clearly out of his element!
The choices he makes as an actor are so truthful. I don't think I've ever seen him make a false move where I've said to myself "That didn't ring true. I don't believe the character would do that."
