Well count me in as one of the drooling fools who saw a lot of eye candy in this picture--a lot of eye candy--a lot more than I deserve to see in one sitting! Henry Thomas, Sean Patrick Flanery, Jay Mohr and Jeremy Sisto! Talk about hoping I don't suddenly die while watching this! Heaven couldn't be better!
First I better talk about the movie or I might never get going on that in favor of just sitting here drooling over Mary's pix! 5 guys kidnap a mobster in order to secure a prisoner exchange for one of the boys' sisters, who was also kidnapped.
The formidable Christopher Walken plays the seasoned mobster with a delightful menacing quality. They tie him to a chair and hook up an IV to him to keep him comfortable after sawing off one of his fingers. Jeremy Sisto's T.K. does the honors, and even though this is another disturbed role for him, he looks absolutely gorgeous in this flick--bloody smocks and all! Yes indeed--that is one sexy little boy! Okay I am digressing again! [Slaps self repeatedly] Wake up! So--anyway, the 5 kids try to use Walken to negotiate a deal with the kidnappers of Avery's (Henry Thomas) sister. But they are woefully inexperienced and unprepared for Walken street smarts and the talented group of criminals and non-criminals (the man even has a good lawyer!) who are employed by him and will stop at nothing to see that he is taken care of! These rich kids--even with their rich dads--are no match in any sense!
There are numerous cool twists. True, there is a little strangeness in the editing, but it doesn't affect the overall flow of the plot. For unpredictability, I'd have to say this is an outstanding crime and mystery drama! Did I mention how hot Jeremy is in this? Oh--yeh--sorry:)
Highly recommend it--highly..
