UPDATE 01/04/09: We can't guarantee how reliable this info is: Several DVD sites in Russia are saying that THE THIRST has been released there sometime in 2008 (no month/day is given on any of the sites that we could find!), under the title: Вампиры: жажда крови (VAMPIRES: BLOOD THIRSTY). The cast names are correct and it looks a lot like like actor Neil Jackson (who played Duke) is on their cover art.
