Having just completed filming, THE THIRST has already become a highly anticipated project for horror buffs and those who enjoyed Jeremy Sisto in WRONG TURN, MAY, and DEAD & BREAKFAST. Far from becoming a "horror-genre" constant, Jeremy is nevertheless a favorite in that demographic. One critic even called him the current "Scream King".

THE THIRST has been described as TRAINSPOTTING meets NEAR DARK, and since those 2 titles are longtime favorites of mine, I can only imagine how much fun and darkness will ensue!!! Sisto plays Darius, the leader of a pack/gang/gaggle of vampires who encounters a terminally ill woman who has only one alternative to wasting away and dying.

The cast includes: Adam Baldwin, Serena Scott Thomas, Clare Kramer and Erik Palladino, and is directed by Jeremy Kasten (ALL SOULS DAY).

03/07/07 Barnes&Noble.com has the DVD listed as being released May 15, 2007.

03/06/07 We may finally have a real release date. According to Bloody Disgusting.com, Anchor Bay and Starz Entertainment will be releasing THE THIRST to DVD this May!!! Thank you to VBFHENRM for the great update!!!

01/18/07 IDT Entertainment is now owned by the Starz Networks, and called Stars Media. Starz Media and Anchor Bay will be releasing THE THIRST this year. One source says Spring 2007, and another says February 2007, but no solid word yet.

11/14/06: Apparently, Anchor Bay Entertainment, which has released DEAD AND BREAKFAST, THE MOVIE HERO, and THIS SPACE BETWEEN US, will also be releasing THE THIRST.
